Day 2 (17th September, 2015): Paro sightseeing and drive to Thimphu; 2320 m
Day 3 (18th September, 2015): Thimphu
Day 4(19th September, 2015): Thimphu
Day 5(20th September, 2015): Thimphu to Punakha ( 1250 m) to Lobesa.
Day 6 (21st September, 2015): Wangdue Phodrang Tshechu Punakha ( 1240 m) and drive to Phobjikha.
Day 7 (22nd September, 2015): Phobjikha to Trongsa. ( 2180 m )
Day 8 (23rd September, 2015): Trongsa to Bumthang ( 2580 m )
Day 9 (24th September, 2015): Bumthang Tamshing Phala Chhoedpa Festival.
Day 10 (25th September, 2015): Bumthang
Day 11 (26th September, 2015): Bumthang to Thimphu.
Day 12 (27th September, 2015): Thimphu to Paro Departure.
Arrive at Paro International Airport. you will be welcomed by our guide by of-fering Trashi Khadhar. We will drive to the hotel for a welcome tea and refresh-ment.
Day 2 (17th September, 2015): Paro sightseeing and drive to Thimphu; 2320 m
After early Breakfast, we will drive 15 Km towards the north to reach the base of Taktsang Monastry. We will have to hike 2-3 hours to reach the clinging Monas-tery in the cliff. This Monastery is the Jewel of Bhutan and one must visit this. This is an important place of pilgrimage. According to legend Padmasambhava arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated there. After going down we will visit the ruins of Drugyel Dzong, Satsam Chorten and Kitchu Lhakhang. We will also look around the beauty of the village and town and drive to visit Na-tional Museum and Paro Rimpung Dzong. Then we will drive to Thimphu. on the way in isuna we will visit Tamchu Lhakhang
Day 3 (18th September, 2015): Thimphu
After breakfast we will drive towards Trashi Chhodzong where many people will be gathered to get blessings of the Domchen. You can see the dance of Palden Lhamu ( Bhutan Deity ). The dances are performed by the monks after a month of rituals inside the protected lhakhang. You will see many people gathered in the courtyard in their festive dress and ornaments.
After Lunch we will drive to visit Memorial Chorten, the tallest sitting Buddha; Buddha Point, Changangkha Lhakhang, The Takin zoo, Hike to Wangdue Tshe Lhakhang where you will see the secret of the 4th Kings palace, Zulakha Nun-nary, Dechen Phodrang Monastry. In the evening we will have a shopping time in the capital city.
Day 4(19th September, 2015): Thimphu
After Early breakfast we will drive 19 km towards the north where we will reach Dodena. Your guide will have a historical story of this place. We will cross a cantilever bridge where we will find a sculpture of Lama Phajo Drugom Zhigpo and a chorten. Then we will hike around an hour to reach Chhari Monastry. It is a well known holy place for the monk body and the meditation centre for the great saints.
Then we will drive back and continue visiting Trashi Chhodzong, Painting school, Indigenous hospital where we will get the herbal medicines. We will also visit Folk Heritage Museum, Bhutan Textile Museum, Bhutanese paper factory, Vegetable market and then with the walk in the town we call a day.
Day 5(20th September, 2015): Thimphu to Punakha ( 1250 m) to Lobesa.
After breakfast we will drive to Simtokha in the south of Thimphu valley to see the first Dzong built in Bhutan by Zhabdrung Rimpoche. We will offer butter lamp and listen to the story of this Lhakhang. Then we will drive via Hongtsho (2890 m) where we have to get permission from immigration check point. After crossing this pint we will reach Dochula Pass (3140 m). It is marked by 108 chorines built in 2005 as atonement for the loss life in a war in the south of Bhu-tan leaded by our 4th King Jigme Singye Wangchuk. We will also visit Druk Wangyel Lhakhang and enjoy the view of the Mountains and the village.
As the road is rough due to the widening project we will drive slowly via Thinley gang and Mitsena. We will walk to Chhimi Lhakhang in the centre of the village. We will see a preserved things of Lama Drukpa Kuenley and we will be blessed with the child if we pray and wish for. Then we will drive to visit Punakha Dzong , Do jaga lam Lhakhang and hike around 40 minutes to visit Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Chorten built dedicated to 5th Kings and its people. We will visit the Lhakhang in the town and we will drive to Kuengaling Hotel where we will be welcomed over a dinner.
Day 6 (21st September, 2015): Wangdue Phodrang Tshechu Punakha ( 1240 m) and drive to Phobjikha.
After breakfast we will drive to the army ground where people of Wangdue Phodrang will be gathered to witness the annual festival. It is the first day festi-val. We will see the mask dance performed by the monks and the local people. We will enjoy the culture preserved by the people of that locality. We will see dif-ferent people and different behaviour.
After Lunch we will drive to Phobjikha via Tekizampa. If time permits we will have a sightseeing on the beauty of the village. We will be welcomed by the members of Nga-Yapling resort over a dinner.
Day 7 (22nd September, 2015): Phobjikha to Trongsa. ( 2180 m )
After breakfast we will visit Gangtay Gompa Lhakhang where the monks will be performing Dubchen for the well being of all being. We will like the culture pre-served here practices done here. Then we will visit Wangmo Hand woven carpet factory and the drive towards Trongsa via Pelela Pass ( 3420 m). We will rest over some refreshment. We will continue our drive to reach Trongsa via chendeji chorines. In Trongsa we will be welcomed by the members of Trashi Ninjay hotel from where we will have a nice view of Trongsa Dzong.
Day 8 (23rd September, 2015): Trongsa to Bumthang ( 2580 m )
Our day starts with the early visit of the Trongsa Dzong by offering butter lamps in one of the Lhakhangs. Then we will visit Tower of Trongsa Museum, Karma Drubdey Nunnery. Then we will drive via Yotong la Pass to reach Bumthang which is 65 Km drive. We will be welcomed by the members of River lodge. If time permits we will visit Lhakhangs nearby.
Day 9 (24th September, 2015): Bumthang Tamshing Phala Chhoedpa Festival.
After breakfast we will drive Tamshing Monastry where many people will be gathered to witness the annual festival of that local area. We will spend the day here observing and witnessing the festival. The Mask dance here and the the mask dance in the west is completely different. The night will be in river lodge hotel.
Day 10 (25th September, 2015): Bumthang
We will have a pilgrimage Tour here. We will drive to visit Jakar Dzong, Sey (gold) Lhakhang, Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Tamshing Monas-try,,Thangbi Lhakhang and some historical places where we will find the body prints of Guru Rimpoche and other great saints who were in these places to sub-due the demons and bring religion to these places.
Drive to Tang village where we will see the Tang Mebar Tsho (Burning Lake). Then we will drive to village which is the remotest one. We will hike 17 km and 45 minutes uphill to reach Ugyen Choling Palace built by once Trongsa Penlop deb Tsokey Dorji.The place has turned to a Museum. it provide a place for reli-giouse studies, research and solitude.Then we will hike back and drive to the ho-tel
Day 11 (26th September, 2015): Bumthang to Thimphu.
After breakfast we will drive back to Thimphu via Pelela Pass, Wangdue Phodrang, Dochula Pass. It is a tiring Journey 11 hours drive. On the way we will refresh and the night will be in peaceful resort Thimphu.
Day 12 (27th September, 2015): Thimphu to Paro Departure.
After breakfast we will drive to Paro we will drop you in the Paro International Airport and bid farewell for your journey back to home.
