VISA FOR BHUTAN :
A visa is required to travel to Bhutan except for the visitors from India, Bangladesh and Maldives. It must be applied through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator phenkeyadv@gmail.com or one of their international partners to pre-arrange their visa and book their holiday.Visas are processed through an online system by your tour operator to Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD $40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account.
You are required to send the photo-page of your passport to your tour operator who will then apply for your visa.Once visa is approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs you will be provided with a visa clearance letter which you will have to produce when you enter Bhutan and Visa will then be stamped into their passport.
A daily fee of $ 250 a day will be charged during the high season and $ 200 a day for low season.The minimum daily package required for visa processing covers accommodation, food, professional guide and vehicle with driver. Part of it goes towards free education, free healthcare and poverty alleviation in Bhutan. Discounts is provided for minors and larger groups while surcharges exist for groups smaller than three.
Citizens of Bangladesh, India, and Maldives do not need a visa but they need road permit which will be issued by the immigration go Bhutan from your entry. Indian citizens may also use their Voter ID to obtain entry into Bhutan.
